H.H Mar Addai II visits Orthodox Patriarchate of Rome in Syria

H.H Mar Addai II, Catholics patriarch of ancient church of the east of Iraq and the world, visited the Orthodox Patriarchate of Rome on Wednesday 26^th August, 2009 in Damascus, Syria.

H.H was received by H.H Mar Ignatius IV Hazeem, Patriarch Orthodox Church of Rome in Syria, H.E Archbishop Ghattas Hazeem, H.E Archbishop Luka Al Khouri, H.E Archbishop George Abu Zakhm.

H.H was accompanied by H.G. Bishop Zaya Khoshaba, Father Ezarya Warda Benyamin, Pastor of St. Mary Cathedral in Baghdad, a Media delegation and various members of the Ancient church of East.

During the meeting, different subjects were addressed related to the current situation of Christian Churches in Iraq and prayed for peace and stability in Iraq and the rest of the world. They also discussed taking steps towards rapprochement between the churches, and talked about the friendly relations between the two churches
